Yes. We grow our own lavender on Quinta da Luz in the Algarve. As with everything in nature, each season is different, and we believe that patience is an important part of creating truly authentic products.

"Essência da Luz" means "Essence of Light". The name reflects the landscape we call home — the warm light of the Algarve, the beauty of nature and the quiet moments that inspired our products. Our hope is to bring a small part of that feeling into your home.

Quinta da Luz is our home as well as our boutique hotel, so we don't offer public visits or guided tours.If you would like to experience the peaceful atmosphere that inspires Essência da Luz, you're very welcome to stay with us.
